ESAuth is a open NFC data access and communications system developed jointly by NETRODA TECHNOLOGIES and INRITA.

The System includes hardware, software and the associated documentation to read, write and control IEC 14445 (13.56 kHz) 125 kHz transponders.

Overview

ESAuth describes the method in which data and keys are used together to store, retrieve and encrypt information on data block based transponder systems.

Capabilities

ESAuth can be used to authorize Persons, animals, objects or else in a technologic enviroment, for access control, routing, finance and facturing and other use cases. In comparison to most other NFC Ready-to-oder devices used in enterprise situations, ESAuth can run a custom firmware enabling maximum flexibility and vendor-independed scenarios, for example to retrofit or add functionality on existing systems that cannot be upgraded.

Emulation Modes

Specific firmwares can be load to certain ESAuth devices to emulate capabilities and/or use ESAuth hardware with existing software.

PC/SC The PC/SC Firmware is used by applications to communicate with microprocessor cards ECA-ESS The ECA-ESS Firmware is the predecessor of ESAuth and is supported by outdated ES/S Applications
